Viking Coastal Relay Sunday 27th September 2015. Report by Sylvia Barrett

On Sunday 27th September members of Dover Road Runners gathered at Dover Leisure Centre ready to take part in the annual Viking Coastal Relay in memory of Esma Harris.
Teams of 3 prepared to run in a relay style fashion handing over approximately every 2.5 miles from Dover to the Viking Ship at Pegwell Bay.
All Teams had a great run on a really bright sunny day around some of Kent’s most beautiful coast line.
6 teams in all completed the race . First team home consisted of Carson Medhurst,  Angela Parker and Neil Coleman; 2nd team home comprised Peter Bessant,  Michael Gallagher and Julian Manser. In third place was Martin McConnell , Louise Black and Jen Phillips. Other teams taking part were Mark Sluman , Allison Fitz and Sarah Stephenson;  Rob Harper , Kirsty Harper and Leela Osborne; Warren Uden, Jay Hennebery and Sylvia Barrett.  Phil Coleman,  Race Director made sure we all arrived safely.  Thanks to everyone who ran , drove , supported and helped with the race set up.
