Thanet 10 2014 Race Report by Sylvia Barrett

Sunday 7th December 2014

5 Dover Road Runners lined up at the start of the Thanet 10 mile. The course is flat out and back with stunning Sea Views along this beautiful Coast Line which starts at West Gate on Sea and heads out to Margate and through to Cliftonville. We turned at 5 miles and were greeted with challenging wind, in true running sprit everyone digs deep and after a slippy grassy slope to the finish times were: Martin McConnell, a speedy 1.15.02, 54th out of 229.

Great running from Claire Thurgate 1.23.50 , Sylvia Barrett 1.33.22.

Sue Corlett 1.45.45.and Julie Marshall 1.51.37 Sue and Julie both back for their first race in a while great to see them back with Drr.

Great Race well organised and well Marshalled. Bit cold for an Ice Cream but a nice hot cup of Tea at the finish did the trick
