Report by Angela Parker and Elaine Ellender It is 4.30am on Sunday 6th November 2016 and we could not be more blessed with a better day for running the New York Marathon.  The morning was cool and predicted temperatures were for the mid-teens or high fifties depending on whether you prefer Celsius or Fahrenheit.  And they were not wrong.  The sun shone and the air was warm as we ran. Breakfast Run – Monday 2nd May 2016

Breakfast

  Sylvia and Jay will be leading a Breakfast Run on Monday 2nd May from Farthinglow Farm shop, Folkestone Road, Dover, CT15 7AA.   Please meet at 8.45am in the car park.  We aim to be back for breakfast by 10.30am . Sylvia and Phil will be holding a Club Session on Easter Monday - 28th March 2016. East Kent Relays 2015

East Kent Relays 2015 Well it is that time of year again for the East Kent Summer Relays. For all you members who do not know, every year we take part in the Summer Relays. These take place every other Tuesday for 5 weeks, against nine other local clubs. The distance will be about 2 to 3 miles per leg, normally about 2.5 miles. Easter Sunday Breakfast Run 2014

Rain did not stop play on the Easter Sunday Breakfast Run, as 16 DRR's set off from the Farthingloe Farm. We headed for the hills, then up on to the cliff top paths for stunning views right across to Folkestone. We passed the Abbots Cliff sound mirror which was used in the second world war to detect over seas movement of  troops and artillery, so I am sure the people of France could detect  the happy chatter of the Dover Roadrunner Troop as we whizzed by.
