The Wrekin Wreaker Fell Race Sunday 23rd November 2014

Report by Colin Wood The Wrekin is a large wooded mound or hill near Wellington Telford in Shropshire. It is 1335 feet high, 1.75 miles long and 0.75 miles wide with many tracks and paths all over it. The race route goes over the top three times and is about 7.5 miles long exploring every side of the hill. A total climb of over 2000ft. Canterbury 10 25th January 2015 Report by Angela Parker

Ten Dover Road Runners went to Canterbury and ran the 10 mile race on this glorious day. The sun was out and it was warmer outside than it was in the Chaucer Technology School, the race headquarters. It was the first time in a long time that the weather was kind than it had been in previous years. Sunday 7th December 2014 5 Dover Road Runners lined up at the start of the Thanet 10 mile. The course is flat out and back with stunning Sea Views along this beautiful Coast Line which starts at West Gate on Sea and heads out to Margate and through to Cliftonville. Ashford 666 Sunday 16th November Race Report by Leela Osborne


666-A Devilish 7mile Trail Run. On Sunday 16th November 13 members from Dover Road Runners completed the gruelling 7 miles trail run set in the idyllic ancient woodlands of King's Wood, Challock, Kent. The course was extremely challenging through woodland paths, bridleways and fire roads which were muddy, wet and in places steep slippery slopes, some needing ropes for runners to pull themselves up. Report by Sylvia Barrett Team Snowdonia Saturday 25th October Team Dover Road Runners gathered at the start of the Snowdonia Marathon. All the months of training  we now will  be tested, on this tough challenging route of 26.2 miles.  Numbers pinned on , gels packed  wondering as to what lies ahead. The gun fires and we are off. Reports by Leon Goldsack The 9th Rye Summer Classic Series 10K Race 2  08/08/14 Once again I took park in this race in Rye Harbour. I did it in 59.26. I beat last mouth time by 59 seconds. I finished in 97 place out of 113 finishers.  The Podplus Ashford 5k Summer Series 3 15/08/14 Mike Bond and I took part in the Podplus Ashford 5k. Mike Bond finished first in his age category. Great North Run 7th September 2014

Report by Claire Jones On Sunday 7th September Dover Road Runners Claire Jones, Elaine Ellender and Jenny Phillips travelled to Newcastle to take part in the Great North Run. Berlin Marathon 28/9/14

Report by Claire Jones Well I did it in 5 hours 0 minutes and 23 seconds, just under 8 minutes outside of my pb and just 24 seconds outside of a sub-5 hour time. It was a very tough race mainly because I was not feeling 100%. I couldn’t believe that after all the build up and travelling to Berlin on Thursday I had started getting head cold symptoms on the Friday evening and spent all day Saturday dosed up on all sorts of pills and potions hoping it was just an allergy and would go away.
