Lots of activity over the last couple of weeks as follows: On Sunday 20th December a 19 strong team of Dover Road Runners took part in the 10th Kent Christmas Cracker  5 mile race at Fowlmead. Excellent times were recorded as below: Warren Uden finished 12th overall in a superb time of 32.09 followed by Neil Coleman in an excellent time of 37.20. Viking Coastal Relay Sunday 27th September 2015. Report by Sylvia Barrett

On Sunday 27th September members of Dover Road Runners gathered at Dover Leisure Centre ready to take part in the annual Viking Coastal Relay in memory of Esma Harris. Teams of 3 prepared to run in a relay style fashion handing over approximately every 2.5 miles from Dover to the Viking Ship at Pegwell Bay. Mike Bond and Leon Goldsack took part in the finals night of the Podplus Ashford 10k & 5k Summer Series on Friday evening, 21st August. Goldsack competed in the 10k finishing in 1.04.00. Bond chose the 5K option, crossing the line in 30.46. On Saturday Goldsack took part in the Folkestone 5k Parkrun finishing in 64th position in a time of31.49. Tuesday  21st July saw the finals night of the East Kent Interclub Road Relays event hosted at Canterbury. DRR ended the series on a very positive note with successes in the following categories: Mens Vet 60 (joint 2nd place); Senior Ladies B team (2nd place); Ladies V35 A team (2nd place); Ladies Vet 45 A team (3rd place) and Ladies Vet 45 B team (2nd place). Great Newham London Run 10K

Report by Angela Parker On Sunday 19th July 2015 I went to Newham with a friend to run the Great Newham London Run 10K.  This run took us around the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park and we finished in the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Stadium.  Morrisons was the main sponsor. Sandwich 10km 21st June 2015 Very warm, but much improved course from last year. Dover Road Runners girls won the team prize. Claire Thurgate 50.11, Angela Parker 58.07 andMichele Barnes 58.24. Claire was third lady home and first in her age category. Kirsty Harper came home in 1.03.28 and Elaine Ellender in 1.07.25. Last Wednesday evening saw the return of the Samphire Hoe 5K Summer Series. Dover Road Runners turned out in force with a 15 strong team to tackle the challenging course. Warren Uden gave a great performance finishing in 4th place overall in a fantastic time of 18.32. New member Sarah Stephenson made her debut run with the club and finishing 1st Lady overall in an excellent time of 21.24. London to Brighton 100k challenge 23rd May 2015

Report by Phil Coleman Neil and Patricia Coleman and Steve Baird entered the event  which is a 100 km run starting at Richmond Old Deer Park, London. With 20 minute start time of 100 people leaving at a time, the route follows the footpaths of the Thames firs,t then footpaths of the South Downs and finishing at Brighton race course.
