Sandwich 10km 21st June 2015 Very warm, but much improved course from last year. Dover Road Runners girls won the team prize. Claire Thurgate 50.11, Angela Parker 58.07 andMichele Barnes 58.24. Claire was third lady home and first in her age category. Kirsty Harper came home in 1.03.28 and Elaine Ellender in 1.07.25. Social Event - Thursday 11th June - to meet at The Railway Bell pub, London Road at 6pm and NOT the usual Sports Centre! We'll be in the car park / garden at the back of the pub. What: A social / fun run with optional fun quiz! A 6.5 mile route (I can't promise no hills at all.....but no big hills!) with a few quiz questions on the way to test your brains (or allow a short break!). Last Wednesday evening saw the return of the Samphire Hoe 5K Summer Series. Dover Road Runners turned out in force with a 15 strong team to tackle the challenging course. Warren Uden gave a great performance finishing in 4th place overall in a fantastic time of 18.32. New member Sarah Stephenson made her debut run with the club and finishing 1st Lady overall in an excellent time of 21.24. London to Brighton 100k challenge 23rd May 2015

Report by Phil Coleman Neil and Patricia Coleman and Steve Baird entered the event  which is a 100 km run starting at Richmond Old Deer Park, London. With 20 minute start time of 100 people leaving at a time, the route follows the footpaths of the Thames firs,t then footpaths of the South Downs and finishing at Brighton race course. Race Reports  by Angela Parker and Julian Manser On Sunday 10th May 2015, Julian Manser and I went to Halstead in Essex to run the 21st Halstead and Essex Marathon. Paris Marathon 12th April 2015

Report by Claire Thurgate DOVER ROAD RUNNERS CONQUER PARIS Seven intrepid road runners made the trip to Paris to take part in the 39th Paris marathon. After training through the winter the runners were presented with a glorious warm spring day. A predominantly flat course which took in the iconic attractions of Paris meant there was plenty to occupy the mind as well as the large number of runners. New Forest Race Festival 21st and 22nd March 2015

Report by Mandy Kennett New Forest held their Race Festival over the weekend, with an Ultra on Saturday Morning, and a ladies only 10k and half marathon in the afternoon. On Sunday they held a 20 mile race, mixed half and mixed 10k. Just a very small group lined up for the ladies on half (26 ladies) and DRR's Mandy Kennett was amongst them. Silverstone Half Marathon 15th March 2015

Report by Michele Barnes Gary and I took part in the Silverstone half marathon on Sunday. Very chilly but great atmosphere and well organised and very well supported. Very flat with a couple of inclines. Gary did a PB of 1.28.17. I did a PB of 2:10. Think we're both quite pleased with the results.
